Interesting dialague follows.

Person A. "I've always wondered how long it would take for the "scientists" to begin hitting on the FACT that coffee, partly during roasting then for several days afterward, offgasses carbon dioxide in signficant quantities."

Person B. ...and I've always wondered if there are actually people so stupid they cannot figure out why an employee of a company might not be telling the truth about the dangerous nature of that company's product...

"Fred Singer has... been receiving $5,000 a month from the Heartland Institute."
www.desmogblog.com/s-fred-s...

"Heartland received $736,500 from Exxon Mobil between 1998 and 2006... While Heartland once disclosed its major supporters, it now refuses to publicly disclose who its corporate and foundation funders are."
www.sourcewatch.org/index.p...

Person A. How much do Michael Mann and his friends receive from governments each year? What fraction of their income is the government largesse? How much would these same governments give them if they said CO2 was not a concern?

Person B. Dr. Mann didn't discover that CO₂ warms the planet.

That was discovered by someone named Eunice Foote over a century ago.

Do you have any evidence she was being bribed by "governments" to come to a false conclusion, Neddie?

"Overlooked by modern researchers is the work of Eunice Foote, who, three years prior to the start of Tyndall's laboratory research, conducted similar experiments on absorption of radiant energy by atmospheric gases, such as CO₂ and water vapor. The presentation of her report at a major scientific convention in 1856 was accompanied by speculation that even modest increases in the concentration of CO₂ could result in significant atmospheric warming."

Global Warming Facts

A timeline of Earth's average temperature.

We know about the natural Earth's warming and cooling cycles. Thus we know about sun activity affecting weather. We know there are various natural factors for warming or cooling. That's not in question. The question is, is man made activity a significant factor and if so, to what degree? Take a look at the graph in the link above and we find the rate is drastically higher compared to previous rate of change. We can conclude that human activity is a factor (as have most scientists). Then to what degree? We can estimate with sea level rising figures. What the science says...A variety of different measurements find steadily rising sea levels over the past century.

Bill Nye to Climate Change Deniers: You Can’t Ignore Facts Forever

William Sanford "Bill" Nye[2] (born November 27, 1955), popularly known as Bill Nye the Science Guy, is an American science communicator, television presenter, and mechanical engineer. He is best known as the host of the PBS children's science show Bill Nye the Science Guy (1993–1998), and for his many subsequent appearances in popular media as a science educator. Nye began his career as a mechanical engineer for Boeing Corporation in Seattle, where he invented a hydraulic resonance suppressor tube[dubious – discuss] used on 747 airplanes. wiki

From what I gather this issue is directly related to a much bigger issue of Disclosure (more on my Science, God, Aliens thread) and also to the issue of geoengineering.

A documentary Overcast attempts to figure out if geoengineering is real.

My conclusions: global warming by man made fossil fuel burning is (one) significant factor contributing to global warming. The people behind keeping fossil fuels as the main energy source, are part of a kabal keeping alternative energy sources (based on human innovation and augmented by ET technology) suppressed. At the same, this same group counters the man made fossil fuel warming via geoengineering in order to help cool the planet, thus in the process polluting the air, water, and planet on both ends to keep their petrodollar macroeconomy in place. They are able to accomplish this working behind the military industrial/security complex in covert operations that are deemed national security, funded by trillions of embezzled dollars.

"The agendas within this group (against Disclosure), are separate and competing. One would be macroeconomical control - global domination- they want the oil system, their utility systems in place, it's all about macroeconomy for those guys. Those are more of the real political folk like Papa Bush. Then we have people, as I mentioned who are epistemological. They would love to see a final battle that would happen, that would result in the end of the world, so that their Messiah, or Christ, would return. They're religious nuts. They make the Taliban look like liberals." Then you have the sociopaths - who really love endless war. They love torture. They love destruction. They're addicted to it. And I met with some of these people, they are true psychopaths. (Dick Cheney, etc). Scary characters. They you have a group who don't know how to come clean without it being the biggest scandal.. imagine we learn that we have all these technologies to replace oil. There's an inertia that this secrecy has. They just want to retire and go fishing without the trouble." -Dr. Steven Greer

So. Groups that want secrecy/against disclosure are:
1. Business guys
2. Religious nuts
3. Sociopaths/psychopaths
4. Don't want to rock the boat/no trouble

Steven Macon Greer (June 28, 1955) is an American retired medical doctor and ufologist who founded the Center for the Study of Extraterrestrial Intelligence (CSETI) and The Disclosure Project, which seeks the disclosure of allegedly suppressed UFO information. Greer completed his graduate work at East Tennessee State University James H. Quillen College of Medicine in 1987.[4] He attended MAHEC University of North Carolina where he completed his internship in 1988 and received his Virginia medical license in 1989.[4] That year he became a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. wiki

There is a simpler explanation, devoid of all alleged or true conspiracy correlations.

Truth is that, right now the industry is still very much dependent on fossil fuel and a drastic reduction would probably be diosastrous on economy.

Professor's Harrison proposal to open more nuclear power plants seems incredibly hazardous to me, especially so in small countries.

Another aspect: China, India, Indonesia, Brasil: they are the or some of the major polluters here and they won't substantially agree to cut back emissions.

If the USA cut drastically back now, they'll be at an economic and military disadvantage.

In the meanwhile, we sure should finance research on alternative sources. Fossil fuels are nto infinite, although they are lasting more than previously forseen

Here I believe the Trump administration is very wrong if money is derouted.

I doubt people in India would be inclined to doubt global warming right now.

Wow, I didn't know it was affecting India that much.

HOW CLIMATE CHANGE IS HITTING INDIA

"Ghosh said that floods previously considered to be one-in-100-years events could occur ten times a year by 2020–around the time that India is set to become the world’s most populous country.

Floods already ravaged south India in November and December of 2015, killing over 500, and displacing 1.8 million more, according to charity groups including the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.

The dangers go beyond floods. Record-breaking heat waves have become a regular occurrence in India, killing thousands in each of the last two summers. Drought has damaged crops, causing starvation and a rash of farmer suicides. As global temperatures continue to rise, hot-weather countries like India feel the limits of habitability being stretched.

Another concern for India is its water supply. Much of its water comes from glaciers melting in the Himalayas—a melt that has been expedited in recent years by rising temperatures. Recently scientists have voiced fears that India’s supply could suddenly surge as a result of melting before drying up, creating massive waves of displaced and starving people."

Here is a case for what's causing this. Even if you don't accept the entire message presented, it's a strong case that geoengineering (in effort to counter man made global warming, though this guy gives other reasons like population control) is actually causing more damage and only masking the issue. Thus not allowing the planet to regulate itself as it has in the past.

India is suffering from the results of the actions done by the world on pollution as well as its own action or rather inaction on pollution internally by the past governments.

It is not that people are ignorant about the issue. Most of them are and are trying to avoid doing pollution in their own way like avoiding plastic and changing to environmental things.

What is more important is that the new US Prez actually withdrew from the paris climate agreement. It is the US that is the main culprit behind the pollution. Start with the bombing of the atom bomb and then testing nukes.

China is the biggest polluter. It 's emissions are almost twice as much as the US. (India is third).

Nothing against India.
There, people were used to food in clay pots.

Like yoghurt, just to throw them away... after eating.

Lately, these old and harmless ways of preserving foods have been replaced by western-type industries, utilizing plastique.

So, modern India Mother's nature is being over-polluted with plastic, and animals, such as Mother Cow are dying from this over-pollution.
