Deleting old messages

Is there any way to go in and delete messages through certain dates? Or do I have to go in and delete each message.
I think I want to delete old messages from years ago that do not apply to my life now.
If this is not possible I will just delete one by one!
Thank you for any suggestions.

If you give me the dates, I can do this for you through the Admin interface. I prefer people not mass-delete posts, only because it breaks the continuity of the conversations (e.g. the responses remaining don't make as much sense without the full context, etc) but if it's important to you (or anyone else who may want the same) it can be done fairly simply. Keep in mind if any of your post happen to be a thread-starter, everyone's replies under it will be deleted, too. Just let me know what you want.

Dear Shannon,

I would not wish to cause an entire thread to disappear. Maybe I should just look through my old posts tomorrow and delete anything that is too personal and past tense. Although life is always a test and not always easy I have grown leaps and bounds in the past few years and just would not wish to keep residue of something like my marriage ending to remain in print.
Doors close and new doors open. Always always blessings to be discovered.

Thank you Shannon.

Dear Wendy, it strikes me that deleting some of the old posts could be very therapeutic. Are you going to ritualize the process in any way? (Just sharing thoughts)

Recycle Bin

INTRODUCING A RECYCLE BIN MAY BE REVOLUTIONARY IDEA !

DELETED THREADS CAN BE COLLECTED TEMPORARILY IN A RECYCLE BIN

BEFORE EJECTING THEM IN HYPERSPACE ,NEVER TO HAUNT !

FYI deleted posts remain in the system until I remove them. If anyone has a post they have deleted but wish to have returned, it can be done easily, unless I have recently cleaned house and have removed it entirely. Yes, this means I and Greg can see deleted posts but don't bother to read them unless there is a reason to.

Ashok, I really hoped you wanted to delete some of yours posts so that the lag between my posts # and your posts # would drop a little

Everyone deletes posts! Truly EVERYONE. There is nothing cowardly about it.

FYI - I don't bother to read deleted posts - who has the time? The interest? That restore feature is only useful when someone accidentally deletes something, or an argument with complaints ensues and someone deletes before a Moderator has a chance to read what happened.

God loves pests too and lets them live; even the human type. But for humans in some cases the further they live & wander; the better there than here. Even the smallest of pests are sensitive to such things.

Yet to forgive is kind and to love is divine.

I suppose there are benefits to being pesty. Thanks for the compliment! Knowing you i should take it that way. Besides the traps we make are only for those we love and falling into one is sometimes not all that bad. If i can catch them off guard I might get a smile and we both will be snatched up/caught up in a web of unexpected spontaneous rapture. It reminds me a bit of Rajasi Janakananda and Master together. Always enjoying the small moments they shared...playing like kids...

Thank-You dear friend. i have also missed you Ocean Lover. May your life be full of blessings. We keep the best of our lives and discard the rest. Although even in our sad moments God is leading us home. Sometimes it is just hard to see it. Perhaps sometimes we need to delete old patterns that no longer apply to us but even through those experiences we have come to this point and they too played a part in our unfoldment.

Somehow i think that we are going to have to manifest those regions of the astral realms that Sri Yukteswar told of us in his resurrection before we will be free from those little irritating varmints called pests. The more our thoughts are filled with love the less we are irritated by such things and we see light purpose and love in everything.

Steve

Ashok, I'm sure doctor Rajakrisna would prefer relatively quick death by hook & rope suspension (hanging) to the hell of mental torture resulting by suspension from the yoganandaji.org forum.

This forum has become a vital organ for our good pal, he's deprived of it, he might as well be deprived of heart & lungs functions

Rajkrasna is an effective potent vaccine against TRANSFORMERS from from other planets !
I have nagging doubt that Rajkrasna is either a Divine Mutant in hibernation or sleeping HeavenlyTransformer !
