How did you find this board?

Greetings everyone,

Our board continues to grow slowly but surely. Though we have over 100 Members now, I suspect only about 20 our active on a regular basis. I would like to let others know of this board and am wondering: How did you find your way to this website? Your answers will help me to conceive of other methods. Thank you!

Lightbulb Web

I was sailing on the web looking for a site like this, I knew it was there, because a lot of students must need it as I do.

I was looking for a site just like this too. I thought surely somewhere in the vastness of the internet there must be an SRF message board and Google brought me here!

Thank you everyone. These responses are so surprising for I don't recall ever mentioning or introducing this board over at yogananda.net. I did mention the creation of our Single's Network over there once, but that's all I can remember. Ah well - happy to have you all here, too!

Web site

I think It was through a search engine...
But, actually I'm not quite sure,
Perhaps it was a link from another site?

Anyhow, just glad I found it!
It's great being somehow connected to others
that have discovered the divine joy made possible by
our fellowship with Guruji Yogananda.

Wow - hard to believe this board has been up for this long, and that we have so many members now. I wish more would participate instead of just lurking! (wink/smile)

McCoy, Yogananda.net is older by quite a few years. It is a wonderful community.

I was searching to find other Self-Realization Fellowship students/teachers in my area.
I was just looking for other truth seekers to relate to. Here where I live it's hard to find any other people with the same belief structure as I have. I am glad to see this forum is here. I really was getting a little stir crazy talking to all the people I know about higher spirituality, when they don't believe in the same things as I do. Basically everything I said to them, they whispered amoungst themselves and told me I need to go and read some more scripture and get a better understanding of it. So here I am. I hope we can all get along...........lol

I think it was google that got me here. I have enjoyed reading the messages and checking out links. Who knows, perhaps I will practice my writting style some and submit more!

I'm in the minority. I found it through the web ring. And I think I may have followed only 2 other web rings in 20 years of being online!

Geetings to you all!

I'm delighted to have found you. I live in France far away from an SRF group, so its wonderful to link in on this Easter morning. Wishing you all the most blessed meditations.
In answer to the question:
I'm a beginner on the net, so had no idea such places existed.
In fact I have been studying King Lear this year, and had found Yogananda's 'Second Coming of Christ' so helpful in understanding the play that I wondered whether any other devotees out there had also used Yogananda's teachings of the scriptures to help them understand Shakespeare better. So it was a Yoganda / Shakespeare google search that brought me here. I ended up on the question where you were asking each other what you liked reading. In fact, it was not so much a discussion on Shakespeare that I was looking for, but SRF friends (I realize now).
So I'm very very happy to be here!
A very happy blessed Easter 2010 to you all.

Bienvenue, Yogagirl!

Many devotees read Shakespeare; some even believe Shakespeare and Yogananda may be the same soul reincarnated. (smile)

The board is fairly easy to use, but if you need any help please let us know - we hope you enjoy your time here, and visit often!

Hi Yogagirl,

Welcome!

I especially found interesting your post about how you keep in the SRF vibration when you don't live near a group.

Blessings, Pat

it was an wonderful incident one of my friends neighbour offered me the Autobiography of Yogi Book. when i started reading i became sooo happy, it contained information exactly i was looking for.

me and my friend took a lot of interest in that book. we use to discuss lot of topics from that book. he even had a dream of Lahiri Mahasaya, but he said Lahiri Mahasaya appeared in his dream smiling and he bite him the first time lol.

i found this site while i was searching(google) for Paramahansa Yogananda.

now when i look back... oh its a long time... but it was like yesterday when i was young with my parents praying in temples with lot of idol gods and goddess and confused to choose which god or goddess i should make my requests lol.
